About
Hello, I am Alexandru Cîrstea. I am an AI entrepreneur, systems architect, and investigative journalist based in Darmstadt, Germany, originally from Romania. Rather than writing every single line of code myself, I specialize in designing and directing autonomous AI agent systems that build and ship production-ready software. I bring over a decade of hands-on experience bridging traditional web development — from custom applications to WordPress — with over four years dedicated strictly to AI. My focus is on agentic architectures, LLM orchestration, and advanced prompt engineering deployed in real-world production environments.
My background also deeply involves national-scale investigative journalism and civic organizing. I have found that these disciplines demand the exact same rigor as software engineering: verify every detail, rely on the facts, and execute without shortcuts.
Codex Neuralis
Through my company, Codex Neuralis, we design and build software exclusively on AI-native infrastructure. Our portfolio spans multi-agent orchestration platforms, agentic CLI tools, embedded systems powered by AI copilots, and automated content pipelines. Whether we are developing open-source tools used across the tech industry or complex internal platforms, every deployment adheres to a singular standard of uncompromising quality: Built by Codex Neuralis.
Civic and Editorial Background
Before transitioning fully into AI and systems architecture, I built a national track record in journalism and civic activism. I co-founded PresaLibera.net (2014-2015), an independent media outlet dedicated to investigating political corruption and systemic abuses of power in Romania. I co-founded Uniți Salvăm (2013-2015), which became one of the most influential civic movements in post-2000 Romania. We organized nationwide protests against the Roșia Montană mining project and built a decentralized digital mobilization infrastructure utilized by tens of thousands of citizens.
Earlier, with Acțiunea 2012 (2012-2015), I co-led a massive national campaign, securing over 100,000 signatures for the Romania-Moldova reunification and personally securing public backing from 56 elected Members of Parliament.
Today, I bring that same investigative rigor to the tech ecosystem. Since 2025, I serve as the Editor-in-Chief and photojournalist for the AI News Blog. I lead the editorial direction and fact-checking processes for our coverage of the European AI landscape, providing original photo reporting directly from major industry events. Dozens of large-scale civic campaigns, two independent media ventures built from the ground up, and editorial leadership in one of the fastest-moving tech industries in the world. Different fields — same exact standard of execution.
The Approach
Every engagement begins with a rigorous domain analysis. From there, I build an agent-based architecture tailored specifically to the problem at hand — never adapted from a generic template. My systems are engineered for production from day one: they are observable, deeply maintainable, and built to scale under real operational load. I firmly believe that technology stack choices must follow the problem, not the hype.
Primary stack: Python, Go, and Rust for AI systems and core orchestration; PHP, WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for web platforms; C for embedded firmware; Supabase for backend infrastructure; and n8n for workflow automation.

Beyond the Code
Outside of building systems, I spend my time researching emerging technologies and writing about the profound intersection of artificial intelligence and society.
